So my rear metzler looks pretty worn down. I've got 1800 on em is that normal? How much am I looking for a set of michelins? What other tires do you guys recommend? I am not happy with how much tread I've gotten out of the metzlers.

Ya...normal for that Metzler.Replaced mine at around 2K...something like that...front...went a tad longer.Replaced with Pirelli Angel ST's.Well over 2k so far on mine...190/55...and still lookin fairly good.I DID adjust my riding on the straights however...55,60,70.That's about all I cruise at right now.Cornering is a different story though. We'll see...I'm really trying to squeeze as much outta these tires now as I can.Had em on my 07 several times....I'd have to say...even though they were rated the highest mileage tire in a shootout...I wasn't getting NEAR the mileage Pirelli claimed. Not even. But they grip really well..done some 150+ curves and such...leaned in all the way...as much as I dared anyhow...they held..no hint of slipping at all.Very nuetral feel as well. And smooth.

Got 4950 out of my Metzlers, went to Pilot Road 3's and at 7603 miles have 2653 on them. The PR 3's seem to be doing well. I think next time around I will go to a 55 rear. I get all of my tires from Superstore they are always ready to match any price.

For the big Ninja, the Pilot Road 2 lasted the longest for me and they stick very well. Can easily handle high speed corners and straights with no problem. I normally get 8K from the front and 6.5K from the rear. I don't run my tires down to the steel so you may get a few more miles if you do. I buy my tires for tireexpress.com. Very good prices.

Since I live in Florida with a lot of straight roads and only occasional trips to the mountains I'm looking into the new Pilot Road 3 2CT's. Got great reviews, awesome in the rain and dry and even did very well on a track day. Just another tire to consider. when I wear out the Metz I'll most likely try a set of these...

And where about are these FL mountains LOL!

Superstore matches prices?Good to know.I have about 1500 miles on my 190/55/17 Roads 2.The 55 really help with speedo error. My rear tire still looks good. Will buy them again. My front that is a Power Power 2CT is starting to cup.
